At the end of a century that imparts increasing importance to the exchange of information, the Buenos Aires Conference will attempt to intimate into the details of the experimental intellectualism. Which impelling forces imprint our bodies, which strategies impact our souls? Why should we experiment or even exist? Expose ourselves.
In that(ose) sense(s), the participating works should be sent to the address at the bottom of the page postmarked by September 2nd, 1996 according to the following areas:
1- Theoretical works: three copies of less than eight pages each (letter
size, double line spacing).
2- Visual poetry: one original (tabloid size or smaller).
3- Performances: VHS video (PAL-N or NTSC), otherwise a short description
of the actions to be realized and technical needs.
4- Videopoetry: VHS video (PAL-N or NTSC).
5- Sound poetry: cassette tape, CD and/or scores.
6- Computer poetry: 3.5", 1.44 Mb diskettes, preferably PC compatible (we
will accept Mac floppies with reservations).
7- Objects, installations and designs.
-Very important: mark your parcel with the words "Sin valor
commercial" (no commercial value).
- In all cases where apply, the participating works should not last longer
than 15 minutes.
- No works will be returned unless international reply coupons (IRC's) are
sent by the author.
-Those willing to assist should request additional information.
Activities (performances, seminars) will take place on November 14 to 20 at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires city.
