Harry Polkinhorn is an experimental poet/artist, translator, and editor whose works have been exhibited and published worldwide. He has published over thirty books of poetry, fiction, translation, and edited collections. His areas of interest focus on the international avant-garde and the culture of the U.S.-Mexico border region. His current projects are a translation of Renato Barilli's Viaggio alle termine della parola (about Italian experimental poetry in the 1960s and 1970s), Border Culture: Art and Theory (coedited with D. Emily Hicks and William A. Nericcio), and The Border of Things: Towards an Archaeology of Edges (collected essays, creation, and translations dealing with border-related matters). Polkinhorn is Director of San Diego State Press.
